The Best Places to See Christmas Lights in Massachusetts

It’s safe to say that (mostly) everybody enjoys seeing Christmas lights. If you don’t, you might be the Grinch. I’d be lying if I said I never drove 30+ minutes to a specific town (or state) just to see the beautiful Christmas lights and displays. Here are some of the Best Holiday Light Displays to see in Massachusetts.

  1. Bright Nights at Forest Park – Springfield, MA

Bright Nights at Forest Park is one of the most well-known holiday light displays in the state. It is a 3-mile drive that has welcomed over 3.8 million visitors since 1995, and has even earned mentions in The New York Times and Yahoo! Travel (Boston Globe Media Partners). It features Seuss Land, Santa’s Magical Forest, Jurassic World, Victorian Village, Blizzard Tunnel and more.

 

  1. Blink! Faneuil Hall – Boston, MA

Blink! is a world-famous light and sound show that plays at Faneuil Hall. It features the famous holiday tree at Marketplace Center and combines 350,000 LED lights and music from the Holiday Pops. The show is a total of seven minutes long, but runs multiple times throughout the night during the holiday season.

 

  1. ZooLights at the Stone Zoo – Stoneham, MA

ZooLights features decorations, lights, snow and animals – all throughout a winter wonderland. You can see the tree-lined paths that are lit by thousands of twinkling lights, or you can visit black bears and Smoky & Bubba in their exhibit (Zoo New England). Finish your night with a cup of hot chocolate and a photo with Santa.

 

  1. La Salette Shrine – Attleboro, MA

La Salette Shrine is a beautiful festival of lights that feature 300,000 lights illuminating over 10 acres. La Salette Shrine has been welcoming visitors for over 60 years, and features an International Crèche Museum you may visit afterwards.

Explore patterns in nature with mesmerizing displays, enjoy s’mores, seasonal drinks, photo opportunities and more! Night Lights Winter Reimagined at Tower Hill Botanic Garden in Boylston, MA is an annual celebration of winter, light and nature together (Tower Hill Botanic Garden). With two unique experiences, Day Lights and Night Lights, you won’t want to miss these beautiful displays.
