Express Tire Service

Express Tire Service

Replacing worn tires is one of the most pro-active moves
you can make for your family’s safety. Tires that are the
worse for wear are dangerous because they can no longer
make adequate contact with the road surface, especially
under wet conditions. Unpredictable braking and turning on
wet road surfaces puts everyone at risk. When tires do not
have enough tread depth, they are unable to move away
the surface water leading to no contact with the road. This
results in hydroplaning and loss of control. Bring your vehicle
into Express Tire Service and our technicians will inspect
your tires for the valid tread depth required within the law.
You can measure this minimum depth of 2/32 of an inch, by
inserting a penny upside down in the tread of your tires. If
the tread doesn’t cover Lincoln’s hairline, then the tire is no
longer safe. Recent studies by Consumer Reports recommend
that tires be replaced when the depth is at 4/32”of an
inch, or when George Washington’s hairline on a quarter can
not be covered by the tread. Either way, new tires are
necessary and it’s always recommended that all four tires
be replaced at the same time to be sure you get maximum
safety and performance from your vehicle. Also it’s recommended
that your tires be rotated every 5000 miles for even
wear and long life. At Express Tire we are committed to our
customers and their safety. Make an appointment today on

tire problems resolved, and drive away in safety with
